Legal documents

• Authentication of documents - have NZ documents authenticated (i.e. legalised, notarised) before they are accepted for use in another country

• Witnessing legal documents [external link] - see your nearest Embassy for staff to witness affidavits, affirmations, statutory declarations and other documents for use under New Zealand law - or email the Ministry's Consular Division for more information

• If your law firm needs to serve legal documents on parties who live overseas, we may be able to assist with the process. Contact our head offices in Wellington for more information.

• Information papers - New Zealand's relations with other countries and territories

Importing and exporting

• Export licences for strategic goods - the Ministry issues consent licences for the export of military and dual use goods and chemicals

• Import licenses for chemicals - chemical importers (or exporters) can apply for a licence to bring into New Zealand chemicals which are prohibited in the Chemical Weapons (Prohibition) Act 1996

New Zealand Agency for International Development (NZAID)
