Legal documents

• Authentication of documents - have NZ documents authenticated (i.e. legalised, notarised) before they are accepted for use in another country

• Witnessing legal documents [external link] - see your nearest Embassy for staff to witness affidavits, affirmations, statutory declarations and other documents for use under New Zealand law - or email the Ministry's Consular Division for more information

Importing and exporting

• Export licences for strategic goods - the Ministry issues consent licences for the export of military and dual use goods and chemicals

• Import licenses for chemicals - chemical importers (or exporters) can apply for a licence to bring into New Zealand chemicals which are prohibited in the Chemical Weapons (Prohibition) Act 1996
