Six travel journalists from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay recently spent a week discovering New Zealand’s adventure and ecotourism sectors as part of the New Zealand Governments’ 2008 Latin American Visiting Journalists Programme.
The annual event, which is managed by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and funded under the Government’s Latin America Strategy (LAS), brings specialist journalists from major publications throughout the Latin American region to New Zealand each year.
The Latin America Strategy aims to realise the potential of links between New Zealand and Latin America at the government, business and people-to-people level. Read about more about the New Zealand Government’s Latin America Strategy.
Past themes for visits include arts and culture, science and technology, education and agriculture.
