

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon Murray McCully, travelled to South America (10-14 August 2010) to promote New Zealand’s growing economic links with Chile, Argentina and Brazil. Mr McCully met with his Foreign Minister counterparts in Chile, Argentina and Brazil.
His visit emphasised that New Zealand businesses want to engage for the long term and develop economic links of mutual benefit. In Buenos Aires, MrMcCully launched the promotion of the Rugby World Cup, amongst the Argentine business community.
Mr McCully’s visit also provided the opportunity to discuss a number of international issues.
