
Plaza Nueva Zelandia, Santiago, ChileThe New Zealand Ambassador Rosemary Paterson and the Mayor of Providencia, Cristian Labbe, have inaugurated the new "Plaza Nueva Zelandia".
The Plaza opened on 30 November 2009 and is a gift from the Government of New Zealand to the people of Chile in the year of Chile's Bicentennial.
"Plaza Nueva Zelandia will be a permanent reminder of the friendship between our two countries, as neighbours in the South Pacific region", said the Ambassador at the opening ceremony.
