Visit to Mexico by Minister of Trade, Groser

New Zealand's Minister of Trade, the Hon Tim Groser, visited Mexico between 2-6 November to attend a preparatory meeting for the climate change summit that will be held in Mexico in December and to promote trade and economic links between New Zealand and Mexico.

Minister Groser hosted a networking lunch for the accompanying New Zealand business delegation. The networking function was attended by over 100 key business contacts from the Mexican government and business community. Read Minister Groser’s speech to the function

The highlights of Minister Groser’s bilateral programme in Mexico included meetings with the Mexican Secretaries (Ministers) of Trade and Industry, External Relations, and Energy, as well as a meeting with the Mexican Senate and the presentation of a gift from New Zealand to the Mexican Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) to mark the bicentenary of Mexico’s independence.
