New Zealand Presents United Nations Handbook to Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon

September 2010

Handing over the UN Handbook
New Zealand's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Hon Jim McLay, hands over New Zealand's United Nations Handbook for 2010/11 to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

Each year the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade produces the United Nations Handbook, a comprehensive guide to the UN system. It is used as a resource by diplomats, agencies and students alike in all UN member states. 2011 will mark the 50th anniversary of New Zealand's publication of the Handbook.

Recently New Zealand's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Hon Jim McLay, presented the latest edition of the Handbook to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon. The Secretary-General expressed his gratitude for the copy, noting the Handbook was greatly admired throughout the UN community.

The Handbook remains a valuable representational and outreach resource for New Zealand.

Information on ordering the United Nations Handbook is available on the publications page.
