The Vice President of China Xi Jinping visited New Zealand between June 17-19, 2010.
Meeting first with Governor General Sir Anand Satyanand in Auckland on June 17, the vice president then attended a luncheon hosted by Trade Minister Tim Groser. He then took part in a free trade agreement seminar, and visited Fisher and Paykel Appliances.
In the evening he met with Prime Minister John Key for dinner, and the two leaders resumed discussions the next morning. He then flew to Wellington where he had a luncheon hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Bill English and then meetings with House of Representatives Speaker Lockwood Smith and Leader of the Opposition Phil Goff.
The vice-president departed New Zealand on the 19th June.
