Mr Carlos de Freitas

Mr Carlos de Freitas, a former director of the Brazilian Central Bank and now a prominent economic commentator, is in New Zealand to foster better understanding of the size, strengths and influence of the Brazilian economy.

His visit aims to increase New Zealand interest in investing and doing business in Brazil, the world’s 8th largest economy.

Mr de Freitas is also commenting on the impact of the global economic crisis on Brazil, Brazil’s response to the crisis, and projections for the future growth of the Brazilian economy.
