Alliance of Civilisations Symposium photo gallery

The Alliance of Civilisations is a United Nations initiative that aims to “improve understanding and cooperative relations among nations and peoples across cultures and religions and, in the process, to help counter the forces that fuel polarisation and extremism”.

The Alliance (or AoC) was established in 2005 at the initiative of the Governments of Spain and Turkey. A symposium was held in Auckland from 23 to 24 May, 2007.
