[3] The four "modes" of services supply referred to in this paper are: Mode 1: Cross Border Trade: the service is supplied by a provider physically located in one country, to a consumer in another. Mode 2: Consumption Abroad: a customer travels to another country to consume a service. Mode 3: Commercial Presence: where a foreign services supplier establishes a presence in another country to provide a service, through incorporation, branch offices, a joint venture or other form of business entity. Mode 4: Movement of Natural Persons: the temporary movement of services suppliers.
