TPP Leaders attending APEC 2012 meetings in Vladivostok have renewed their commitment to the negotiation’s shared goals and acknowledged progress made in the 10 months since their last gathering in Honolulu in November 2011.

A joint statement issued by Leaders [PDF 29.5KB] of the nine current TPP participants and a progress report on the negotiations from TPP Trade Ministers [PDF 39KB] to Leaders provide further guidance and impetus to TPP negotiators as they continue their work at Round 14 in Leesburg, 6-15 September.

The progress report was presented to TPP Leaders after a TPP Trade Ministers meeting where the Mexican and Canadian Trade Ministers were welcomed ahead of their countries’ expected participation in negotiations.
