UNCITRAL

64. Convention on the Use of Electronic Communications in International Commerce

The aim of the Convention is to produce an international instrument dealing with issues of electronic contracting and with appropriate ways for removing obstacles to electronic contracting in existing law conventions and trade agreements. The Convention will facilitate the use of modern means of communication in cross-border commercial transactions.

Status:
Multilateral. The Convention is open for signature. New Zealand is currently considering signing the Convention.
