Collaborate Pacific is currently suspended and not accepting applications for support. The fund’s budget has been expended for this year. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We will assess in early 2023 whether Collaborate Pacific should be re-opened. To aid the review process we will be monitoring interest in the Fund, so if you have a query please communicate this to CollaboratePacific@mfat.govt.nz.
The fund works to support one-off, small scale activities that tackle issues that matter to the region.
Pacific Island citizens, NGOs, government agencies, and civil society are encouraged to apply to Collaborate Pacific for funding for event and travel costs for activities relevant to the fund’s objectives.
What the fund covers
Collaborate Pacific is a ‘reimbursable fund’ meaning that for successful applicants, payment is made at the conclusion of the event, based on actual expenditure (within the amount agreed). This actual expenditure is supported by appropriate receipts and a covering invoice.
Funding can cover travel (including transport, accommodation, and meals) and event costs (including hosting costs). In general, it is expected that applicants use the most economical and direct forms of transport.
