The New Zealand High Commission in London is seeking to recruit a Policy Adviser (Foreign Policy) to provide high level policy advice and support to High Commission staff, including conducting research and analysis, preparing reports and briefings, and building relationships with the UK government and private sector. We are looking for someone with a university qualification, experience in providing policy advice, an ability to think critically and analytically, who is politically aware, with good research skills, sound judgement and problem solving capabilities. They must be highly flexible and adaptable, and able to work as part of a high achieving team. The successful candidate must hold or attain the right to work in the United Kingdom, and must be able to obtain and maintain a New Zealand security clearance of TOP SECRET, for which New Zealand citizenship is required.
 
This is a locally employed position, with terms and conditions being set in accordance with UK employment regulations. The High Commission does not provide assistance with accommodation or airfares. The starting salary is in the range of £34,080- £38,089 per annum. Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 to 17:00.
