The New Zealand Embassy in Brasília is seeking a Policy Adviser to help advance and support New Zealand’s interests.
In this busy position, you will support the Post’s engagement with government officials, local contacts and the business sector. You will be responsible for conducting research and analysis, and preparing policy reports and papers making recommendations.
You will help to identify and develop strategies for public and profile-raising events and functions that promote New Zealand’s interests.
Your excellent research and critical analysis skills, coupled with strong written and oral English and Portuguese communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, will be key to your success.
The indicative salary range for the position is be between BRL 14,400 and BRL 16,000 per month, dependent upon skills and experience.

The successful applicant will be employed on local terms and conditions (CLT) and must have the right to work in Brazil. Obtaining and maintaining the appropriate working visa is the responsibility of the applicant and any offer of employment is subject to this. In addition relocation to Brazil is to be undertaken at the expense of the applicant.
