Korea - NZ associations
The New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Korea (external link), known as The Kiwi Chamber, was established in 2008. The Seoul-based Chamber facilitates business opportunities for New Zealand and Korean companies and individuals by creating support networks that enable them to promote, protect and advance their respective commercial interests in each others’ countries. Members should have an obvious connection between Korea and New Zealand; such as being NZ educated and/or commercially connected residents of Korea, or Kiwis with such connections to Korea.
The Korea New Zealand Business Council (external link) is a voluntary group of Korean and New Zealand companies, organisations and Government Agencies involved in promoting business between Korea and New Zealand. The Auckland-based Council provides information, useful networking opportunities for members and a forum for issues of relevance to bilateral commercial interests.
The Australia - New Zealand Association (external link) (ANZA) is a family-oriented social group that aims to provide a focus for the New Zealand and Australian community in Seoul. The association is open to all New Zealand and Australian expatriates. Major activities organised by the group include the Melbourne Cup Gala Ball, Melbourne Cup Luncheon, participation in the Seoul International Women's Association charity bazaar, a children's Christmas party, barbecues and picnics.
The New Zealand Alumni Association Korea (external link) (NZAAK), known as Kiwi Alumni, was relaunched in 2015 to promote friendship and networking among graduates of New Zealand educational institutions who are in Korea. The association is open to all Korea-based alumni of New Zealand educational institutions regardless of ethnicity; age; or if you have been an international student, migrated to, or were born-and-raised in New Zealand.
