Property and Services Manager

The New Zealand High Commission is seeking a skilled and experienced Property and Services Manager to provide property management services across the New Zealand High Commission property portfolio.

The successful candidate will provide management and oversight of property works, maintenance programmes, health & safety programmes and property security management. Contractor and team relationship management is also a key component of this role.

Senior Development Programme Coordinator position, Tuvalu 

The New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) is looking for a well-qualified, experienced and enthusiastic individual for the role of ‘Senior Development Programme Coordinator’ to manage New Zealand’s development programme in Tuvalu.

The role will: provide management and coordination of New Zealand’s bilateral programme activities in Tuvalu; act as New Zealand’s key on-the-ground point of contact with  the Government of Tuvalu; manage in-country aspects of New Zealand’s Scholarship Programme; report on key events, policy and political issues; support effective donor and stakeholder coordination; provide effective management of the office in Tuvalu, and support visits of the non-resident New Zealand High Commissioner and other New Zealand government and other personnel as required.

We will offer a competitive salary to an experienced individual who has the following skills and attributes:

• Tertiary qualifications at Bachelors level or above in a relevant field

• Excellent written and oral communication skills (in English and Tuvaluan)

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Confident, mature, innovative, practical and able to take initiative and consult appropriately

• Experience with reporting and managing budgets

• Ability to manage information and office systems

• Strong networks and ability to develop key relationships

• Sound knowledge of the Government of Tuvalu’s systems.

As this is a locally engaged role, the successful candidate will be required to have the right to work in Tuvalu.
