Minister of Foreign Affairs Winston Peters spoke yesterday evening with Denmark’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeppe Kofod, to discuss cooperation in response to COVID-19.

The Ministers discussed the situation of Danish citizens in New Zealand and their interests with respect to next steps.

They also talked through New Zealand’s efforts to contain the spread of the virus domestically and the policy considerations behind New Zealand’s current alert level 4 setting.

The Ministers undertook to ensure that both countries remained in contact as the situation developed.
