The  free trade agreement between New Zealand and Malaysia is coming up for review, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is asking New Zealanders for feedback on it.

Businesses, including exporters, importers and investors; Māori; and any other stakeholders can share their views on the FTA with MFAT.

The agreement has been in force for five years, and in that time New Zealand goods exports to Malaysia have grown 34 per cent.

The review, at ministerial level, will consider the implementation, operation and impact of the agreement.

It will also explore ways to remove  existing impediments to trade, maximise benefits, and ensure that the agreement is a modern, living document that responds to changing business needs.
