TPP Bill introduced to Parliament
The bill amends New Zealand law as part of the implementation of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement.
Minister of Trade Todd McClay has welcomed the introduction of Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) Amendment Bill to Parliament.
This bill is an omnibus bill that amends New Zealand law as part of the implementation of the TPP.
“TPP is important for New Zealand because it will remove barriers to trade for exporters of New Zealand goods and services in the Asia-Pacific region,” says Mr McClay.
The Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement will allow New Zealand to establish more effective business relationships with a group of economies that account for a third of the world’s GDP.
