New Zealand and the European Union are already close trading partners. The EU is New Zealand’s largest source of imports and is our third largest export market.

Latest trade figures show New Zealand exports to the EU (including UK) in 2018 totalled $10.4 billion, comprising $4.9 billion in services and $5.5 billion in goods.

New Zealand imports from the EU about $15.5 billion comprising $4.5 billion in services and $11 billion in goods.
