New Zealand and the European Union are already close trading partners. The EU is New Zealand’s largest source of imports and is our third largest export market.

Latest trade figures show New Zealand exports to the EU (including the UK) in 2019 totalled NZ$9 billion, comprising $5.3 billion in goods and $3.7 billion in services.

New Zealand imports from the EU totalled NZ$14.8 billion, comprising $11.5 billion in goods and $3.3 billion in services.
