APEC CEO Summit 2021

The APEC CEO Summit 2021 was a virtual gathering of some of the world’s most prominent business people, entrepreneurs, thought leaders and world leaders. They came together to discuss the big challenges and opportunities of our time.

Over two days in November 2021, some of the world’s most influential political, business and thought leaders came together for the APEC CEO Summit 2021 to discuss the biggest challenges of our time. They talked about the ways the region can learn from each other and work together and to ensure it emerged from the pandemic stronger than ever.

They talked about the ways the region can learn from each other and work together and to ensure it emerged from the pandemic stronger than ever.

Delivered entirely virtually, the 2021 Summit attracted exciting and inspirational speakers and panellist from around the world, including New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, (then) German Chancellor Angela Merkel, China President Xi Jinping, international human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, broadcaster and scientist Dr David Suziki and Tesla Chair Robyn Denholm.

They focused on five themes: the state of the world with, and post Covid; the digital disruption opportunity; the primacy of trust; the future of energy; and the sustainability imperative.

More than 1000 people logged in from around the globe to watch the Summit which was broadcast from the Aotea Centre in Auckland.
