For the next three years (2018-2021) that 60% equates to a spend of around $1.331 billion in the Pacific region. Of this, $1.276 billion will be allocated through our country and regional programmes with the remaining $55 million allocated through multilateral commitments.
Our long-term strategy is to achieve a stable and prosperous Pacific, in close partnership with Pacific countries, regional organisations and other development partners. New Zealand’s engagement in the Pacific is guided by the principles of understanding, friendship, mutual benefit, collective impact and sustainability.
