The New Zealand Embassy, in conjunction with the Australian Embassy, will be hosting an ANZAC Day dawn service in Mexico City.

ANZAC Day was first commemorated in 1916 to mark the landing on 25 April 1915 of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps – ANZAC – on the Gallipoli Peninsula.  Since then ANZAC Day has come to be seen as a day of commemoration for all conflicts in which Australian and New Zealand personnel have served.

The New Zealand Embassy, in conjunction with the Australian Embassy, will be hosting an ANZAC Day dawn service.  New Zealanders who wish to attend the commemoration in 2019 should request an invitation by email before 19 April 2019 to NZMexico@mfat.govt.nz.
