Notarial services

The New Zealand Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Consulate General in Dubai offer notarial services by appointment only. Payment is by debit or credit card (2.5% surcharge is included in the notarial fee). If you are based in Qatar, you may courier your document to the embassy and pay for the service by bank transfer.

Notarial services are by appointment only during the following times:

• In Abu Dhabi on Monday and Wednesday. To make an appointment, email us at nzembassy.abu.dhabi@mfat.govt.nz 
• In Dubai on Tuesday and Thursday. To make an appointment, email us at dubai@nzte.govt.nz

Schedule of notarial service fees as at 16 July 2025:

• Certified copies of original documents – AED 144 per document
• Witnessing a signature on an official form or declaration - AED 287 per document
• Administering an Affidavit or Affirmation - AED 287 per document
• Authentication of a New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs signature or seal – AED 431
• Authentication of a UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs signature or seal – AED 287
• Issue of a consular letter – AED 287 per document
