Voting in the 2023 New Zealand General Election

The New Zealand General Election will be held on Saturday 14 October 2023. Voting will open for people who are overseas during the General Election from Wednesday 27 September.

The rules about who can vote from overseas have changed for this election. You can vote from overseas for the 2023 General Election if you are enrolled and:

  • are a New Zealand citizen and have been in New Zealand in the last 6 years, or
  • are a New Zealand permanent resident and have been in New Zealand in the last 4 years. link) has full information on what you need to do to vote from overseas, including:

  • How to enrol
  • Downloading voting papers – the quickest and easiest way to vote
  • Voting in person at an overseas voting place.

The New Zealand High Commission Singapore will be open for in person voting on the following dates and times:

27th - 28th September - 9am - 1pm.

2nd - 6th October - 9am - 1pm.

9th - 12th October - 9am - 1pm.

13th October - 9am - 3pm.

You can turn up at our office at 1 George Street #21-04, anytime during those hours, no appointment necessary.
