Discretionary grant schemes managed by the New Zealand Embassy in Beijing, available to community groups and NGOs.
The fund supports the New Zealand Aid Programme’s objective to “support sustainable development in developing countries, in order to reduce poverty and contribute to a more secure, equitable and prosperous world.”

The New Zealand Embassy Fund (HEF) for China is a discretionary grants scheme managed by the New Zealand Embassy in Beijing.
This HEF is made available to community groups and NGOs in China.
Applications for the first round of HEF China for 2020/21 should be sent to the New Zealand Embassy in Beijing between Friday 21 August and Friday 25 September 2020.
Facing the challenges presented by COVID-19, the embassy will look to prioritise projects that address social and health issues related to or arising from the pandemic.
The funding limit for each HEF project is RMB100,000.

The New Zealand Embassy Fund (HEF) for Mongolia is a discretionary grants scheme managed by the New Zealand Embassy in Beijing.
This HEF is made available to community groups and NGOs in Mongolia.
Applications for the first round of HEF Mongolia for 2020/21 should be sent to the New Zealand Embassy in Beijing between Friday 21 August and Friday 25 September 2020.
Facing the challenges presented by COVID-19, the embassy will look to prioritise projects that address social and health issues related to or arising from the pandemic.
The funding limit for each HEF project is USD5,000.
