Manager, New Zealand Aid Programme - New Zealand Embassy Manila

The New Zealand Embassy in Manila is looking for a locally employed Aid Manager to advance and support the New Zealand Aid Programme. The New Zealand Aid Programme supports sustainable development in developing countries in order to reduce poverty and contribute to a more secure, equitable and prosperous world.

As the Aid Manager you will manage a portfolio of exciting development activities in the Philippines focused on agriculture, knowledge and skills development, disaster risk management and peace building.

We are seeking applicants with relevant work experience who have a sound base of project, contract and financial management skills. You should bring excellent analytical, written and policy development skills. The prospective candidate must have the ability to think strategically and see linkages between different streams of work. You will also have a strong understanding of key development challenges facing the Philippines and the role that effective development assistance plays in supporting sustainable economic development.

The Aid Programme has a focus on Mindanao and the Visayas, so experience working in these areas would be an advantage.

The role directly reports to the Ambassador.

The Embassy is looking for the successful appointee to commence duties in mid/late August 2019.
