Driver/Administration Assistant

The New Zealand High Commission in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a motivated and reliable Driver/Administration Assistant to join our administration team in 2025.
This is a permanent, full-time role. Key tasks will include:
- Regularly check the driving schedules and liaise regularly with the Executive Assistant (EA) and others regarding the driving requirements for the High Commission;
- Provide safe and punctual driving services to all passengers, including assisting with luggage;
- Maintain the post’s vehicle to a high standard, ensuring they are clean and safe to drive at all times;
- Carry out regular maintenance checks on vehicles and maintain accurate and up-to-date service records and manuals;
- Assist with photocopying, reception duties, purchase of office supplies, delivery or collection of office mail and other duties when not driving; and
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
Qualifications and experience
- The successful candidate will hold a current, clean driver’s licence and be able to drive post vehicles safely in local conditions.
Skills and Competencies
- At least five years previous professional driving experience e.g. providing chauffeur services, driving for senior officials or dignitaries;
- Good knowledge and experience of basic car maintenance;
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to and work within a team;
- Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively with a range of people;
- Understanding of health and safety regulations;
- Ability to work autonomously and within guidelines, demonstrating the use of sound judgement;
- Attention to detail and ability to track maintenance schedules and tasks.
The salary for this position starts at RM 3,200/month (RM 41,600 p.a. inclusive of 13th month bonus), negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
