Maintenance Technician – New Zealand High Commission, New Delhi
Salary: INR 999,000–1,200,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
The New Zealand High Commission in New Delhi is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team.
This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance and upkeep of the High Commission, Official Residence and staff residential properties. The role includes planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and minor repairs, routine inspections, monitoring building systems, and supervising contractors to ensure work is completed safely and to the required standard.
To be considered, you must have:
- a recognised Indian trade qualification, diploma or certification in Electrical, Electrical Maintenance, Electromechanical Systems, Plumbing or another relevant building-services trade. Electrical qualifications are preferred;
- 7–9 years' relevant practical maintenance experience;
- strong fault-finding and general building maintenance skills;
- experience supervising contractors and checking the quality of completed work;
- good spoken and written English – this is an essential requirement for the role;
- basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; and
- a valid Indian driver's licence.
Experience working in an Embassy, High Commission, international organisation or other high-security environment would be an advantage.
The successful candidate must have a clear police record and successfully complete the High Commission's pre-employment screening and background verification process.
