Getting married in Brazil

If you are getting married in Brazil it is important that you contact the Brazilian authorities and check their marriage laws and requirements. You can check the requirements prior to leaving New Zealand through the Brazilian Embassy in Wellington(external link).

Brazil needs a Certificate of No Impediment issued by the Office of Birth, Deaths and Marriages. For further information on getting married overseas see the Department of Internal Affairs(external link) website.
