Assistance for New Zealanders overseas
If you’re a New Zealand citizen, staff at the New Zealand Embassy or Consulates may be able to help you in several ways if you get into difficulties overseas – see our services(external link)
We provide consular services to New Zealand citizens outside of New Zealand. Our services range from assisting people in detention, helping people who have been victims of crime, supporting families of New Zealanders who have died in another country, to providing warnings and advice to registered New Zealanders where there are issues in the areas they are travelling. Notarial Services
In certain circumstances, staff at this Embassy and Consulate-General are able to witness affidavits, affirmations, statutory declarations, and other documents for use under New Zealand law. These services are by appointment only and must take place at the Embassy or Consulate-General. Find hours and contact details on the New Zealand Embassy to China page.
The fees for services are:
