COVID-19 information relating to travel to China

For New Zealand Citizens visiting or New Zealand citizens who reside in China and are intending to return please refer to information provided on www.safetravel.govt.nz(external link)

Since 3 February the New Zealand Government travel advice is Do Not Travel to China.

From Monday 16 March, all travellers arriving into Beijing will be subject to a mandatory 14-days quarantine at a centralised facility at your own cost. Other Chinese cities may adopt similar measures at short notice.

The SafeTravel website provides links to WHO(external link) daily reports which provide a comprehensive and up to date list of all the countries/territories where there are confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) website(external link) provides a comprehensive and up-to-date list of all member countries’ border control/quarantine measures.
